The Sex of a Person is Determined by their Sex Chromosomes and Primary Sex Characteristics.
- At conception, a person receives one sex chromosome from their father (either X or Y) and one sex chromosome from their mother (always an X).
- If a person has XX sex chromosomes then she is a female and has female primary sex characteristics.
- If a person as XY chromosomes then he is male and has male primary sex characteristics.
What is a female? a girl? a woman?
A female has XX sex chromosomes. A girl is a child human female. A woman is an adult human female. A heterosexual woman is emotionally and sexually attracted to men.
What is a lesbian?
A lesbian has XX sex chromosomes. A lesbian is "a woman – in the biological sense of the word – exclusively emotionally and sexually attracted to women” (Wild, 2019)
What is a male? a boy? a man?
A male has XY sex chromosomes. A boy is a child human male. A man is an adult human male. A heterosexual man is emotionally and sexually attracted to women.

"Trans-identified" Female
A "trans-identified" female has XX sex chromosomes. She is a biological female who "feels like" she is a male. Although she may prefer to be called a "trans-male," that term is misleading because she is NOT a male. To avoid confusion, this woman can be referred to as a "TRANS-IDENTIFIED" female or simply a female (girl or woman).

A person who "self-identifies" as "non-binary" feels like they are NEITHER male nor female. Sometimes these people have surgery that "affirms" the way they feel about themselves. For instance, some have their breasts, nipples, navel, and all external (if not also internal) sex genitalia removed.
"GENDER QUEER"
A person who self-identifies as "gender queer" feels like they are neither male nor female, both male and female, or some combination of male and female. Sometimes these people have surgery that "affirms" the way they feel about themselves. For instance, some have their breasts, nipples, navel, and all external (if not also internal) sex genitalia removed.
"AGENDER"
A person who self-identifies as "agender" feels like they have little or no connection with any gender.
"PANGENDER"
A person who self-identifies as "Pangender" feels like they are comprised of all or many gender identities and expressions..
"GENDERFLUID"
A person who self-identifies as "genderfluid" feels like their "gender identity" and/or expression varies over time.
